Saving The World
I cannot imagine a life where there are no trees. Trees help us regulate the climate and conserve water.
Save the world? Since I was a child, I thought that this was a superhero thing, someone who has superpowers to fight against the bad guys and free us from all danger. Now I know that by planting a tree I can also help save the world, even though I know that this can take time. But reforestation doesn't sound heroic. In this blog entry; first, I will explain what is reforestation; then, I’ll tell you about the benefits of reforesting; and finally, I’ll share why trees are necessary to live.

Reforestation is the process of planting trees or establishing forests in areas where there was previously forest cover that has been removed or degraded. For me, reforesting is giving life to something that didn't have it, it's a new opportunity to live. On Saturday I went to Jalapa to visit my mom's family's farm. We planted 6 trees, and it was a great experience because it was something we were able to share together. Our only objective was to plant trees because we know that day by day it is more difficult to live with climate change, which affects us and not only us, but animals and plants also suffer. This activity allowed me to create bonds with my family, with a new hope of life.

One of the main objectives of reforestation is to conserve and restore ecosystems, since they provide us with food and shelter. They fight against climate change, absorbing carbon dioxide gases through the process of photosynthesis. The idea of planting trees made me reflect on how ungrateful we often are. We take things for granted that we forget about the importance and purpose of each one for living. A tree doesn't grow from one day to the next, it takes years. It's amazing how we waste paper in a couple of hours. This activity was done to raise awareness, be more empathetic and responsible, with the aim of making a change in the world.
I cannot imagine a life where there are no trees. Trees help us regulate the climate and conserve water. Planting a tree allowed me to connect with nature on an emotional level, reflecting on how strong trees are and how they adapt to climate change and how, despite everything, they grow and we can see how they contribute positively to the environment. providing us with clean air and natural beauty over time, and also, encouraging teamwork.

In summary, planting trees not only benefits the environment, but also provides meaningful and positive experiences. Reflecting on how we can save the world, if while we plant a tree others are cutting thousands of trees. But the change starts with ourselves.
