Exercising

Exercising definitely can be used to improve your lifestyle, and to appreciate yourself more.

Have you ever felt that you are short of breath when you have to go upstairs, walk on the street a couple of blocks, and that you feel like fainting? That’s a sign from your body telling you to be more careful and that you have to exercise more often. Sometimes we totally forget about the fact of burning the calories we digest and even have a balanced diet along with some good exercise. There was a time I used to be sedentary and didn’t get out of home, due to homework, laziness, video games, etc. It really affected me a lot when the time arrived to have outdoor activities and I couldn’t handle them because of my lack of exercise, which is really important for anyone, but not everyone has the same opinion. In this blog entry I’m going to explain about how exercising can improve your life; then, I’ll share my experience going to the gym, and how it helped me to improve my physical condition; and lastly, I’ll explain how being obsessed with exercise is also something dangerous.

Sedentary lifestyle can affect you in many ways, from not enjoying your life, to finding death. To prevent that from happening to you, you can find any type of physical activity of your interest like jogging, hiking, jumping rope, playing a sport, lifting weights, etc. Doing this can make see yourself in another way, like looking at yourself in the mirror and feeling more comfortable with yourself. When you need to help someone to carry things or if you are in a rush, run as soon as you can. All of those little details can make you feel more useful and productive, along with the fact that your mind and body will be more awake to live and travel without any limit.

I was one of those persons, who didn’t like to do anything; watching TV all day long and eating junk food was my passion; till one day, I saw myself immersed into a dilemma of feeling unhappy, uncomfortable with my body shape, and for a time, I got to feel dizzy because of the trashy food I was consuming. Excess of sugar and fat, that made me look chubbier, than what I was used to be when I was younger. That’s why I decided to enroll in a gym, to start firstly, losing some weight; secondly, gaining some muscular mass; and finally, being stronger and gaining more physical resistance, which I achieved.

Exercising has mostly pros rather than cons, but definitely anything in excess is bad for any human being, not matter what it is. If you do not control yourself, you can fall into an obsession of feeling that you are not big and strong enough, which can lead you to spend tons of money in supplements or even steroids that can damage your body completely. Steroids can make you die prematurely because they damage your kidneys and liver, not to mention that also you can fall into being sexually impotent. So, take it easy, do things normally, with patience, and dedication you can get the desired results.

Exercising definitely can be used to improve your lifestyle, and to appreciate yourself more. Going to gym is an extra expense but in my experience it is something I totally recommend. I would definitely warn you not to get obsessed with it, take it with calm, eat healthy and at the very end, you can become into the best version of yourself physically speaking.
