Emotions
Negative self-talk distorts the interpretation of reality and generates inappropriate emotions and behaviours.
Emotions are part of our life, I want to tell you I feel very well with my emotions. I feel happiness, sadness, fear, etc. I know how to master them. I am a reserved person because I don’t like to show my emotions. I don’t show my emotions because I think people don't care how you are. On the scale from one to ten, I will give myself a 5. I trust my parents, they can help me with the things I need. When someone asks me if I’m okay, I said yes I’m okay, but inside I usually feel alone. In this blog entry I’m going to explain why I feel happy; then, I’ll share how I improved my self-esteem; and lastly, I’ll tell you what you can say to yourself to improve your self-esteem.
When I’m happy, I do these things: I play video games, I watch movies or series, I practice my English every day. I have reasons why I can be happy, for example when I pass an assessment I feel very well. There are many things that make me happy: spending time with my family makes me happy, playing with my dog makes me happy, practicing my English makes me happy. I play with my dog on the weekends, and we have fun hours. When I practice my English, I try to pronounce the words correctly. I have been practicing with my cousin, and he has helped me a lot. I have a book where I can learn verbs and phrasal verbs. I have learned some phrasal verbs, and I have used them in a few situations.
I have a high self-esteem because I have some affirmations in my head, I continuously tell myself, for example; “I can do it”, “You are a champion”. These words are my motivation, I say it every morning. I do that because I feel very well, and it’s OK for me. I believe in myself, I like what I’m doing, I have to love myself. Honestly, I want to do my best in this language, now I’m practicing how to master an interview. I have learned new questions, but it’s not difficult. These questions are easy, I have to keep training.
Negative self-talk distorts the interpretation of reality, and generates inappropriate emotions and behaviors. This can have a significant negative impact on our lives, especially on the emotions we experience and the behaviors we engage in. This is because there is a high relationship between how we think or talk to ourselves, how we feel and how we behave. You have to love yourself, you have to believe in yourself, etc. I think we have to have a high self-esteem because it’s important to have it, I’m very well with my self-esteem, there is no problem.
In summary, Emotions are psychophysiological reactions that represent modes of adaptation to certain stimuli of the individual when he perceives an object, a person, a place, an event or an important memory.
