Believe It or Not, Believe

During our life, we hear several times about something sinister in the dark side of life. The church or religion tells us that we mustn’t believe in the dark side but why can't we?  I don’t know if you feel curious about tarotism or witchcraft because it’s something unknown for the majority of people. Religion says that those things are about Satan, but I don't know if I can believe what the religion says. I know the past of Catholic Church, and they weren't angels because they did a lot of things that we really can question them. For example, they converted the black goat as a symbol of Satan, but it is not like that because before there was a religion they worshiped the black goat, and they were taking all the parishioners of the Catholic Church and they with fear of that decided to create that rumor. So in this blog entry, I want to clarify some doubts about tarot and witchcraft. First, I will give a summary of tarot and witchcraft; then, I will explain to you why I am interested in these topics; and finally, I will tell you if tarotism and witchcraft have a dark side.

The tarot is composed of 78 cards and has philosophical, social, poetic, astronomical, and heraldic ideas. In the past, only rich people had the opportunity to read it, and the Catholic Church accepted it. In the same way, it began to be used to predict your future. Over the years, some people began to create rumors that they were things from the devil, and the church started to say that it was forbidden and that it was a sin for someone to read you the tarot. Witchcraft is a cultural and spiritual phenomenon that has existed in various forms throughout history and in different cultures. It is often associated with practices and beliefs related to magic, connected to the supernatural, and the use of occult skills and knowledge. The purpose of witchcraft can vary depending on cultural perspectives and individual beliefs. Rituals and practices can be performed to communicate with supernatural entities, and divination and fortune telling practices can be used to obtain information about future events or reveal hidden knowledge. Obviously, these topics have a lot of information, and I wrote a summary about them.

I think life has a lot of secrets, and for me, that is mysterious. In Latin America, it’s so common to interact with esotericism because you can find it in the market or near your house too. I remember when I was 5 or 6 years old, my brother was so sick, and my parents took him to different hospitals and did a lot of tests. All the tests were correct, so one neighbor told my mother why they didn't take him to a witch, and she recommended one. I remember that I went with my father and brother there, and a witch did many things to my brother, and one of them was to pass an egg all over his body. I remember from afar that the egg came out weird, and the witch said that he was sick because he was the weakest in the family and that it was like witchcraft that they had done. The tarot was near me because my aunt was going to have the letters read to her, and she believes in this form of esotericism. So that’s why I think I’m so interested in it.

I think that everything has a dark side, and obviously, witchcraft is so common that you can use it to hurt somebody. I have heard a lot of stories about black magic, and I think that if it exists, it is for a reason. If it is popular, it is because it is truly more popular with black magic since the many comments I have heard are that it does work. Furthermore, I’m not sure if tarotism has a black side, but I’m so sure that witchcraft does. So, as far as black magic goes, it is another big, mysterious world.

From my point of view, I think that everybody can believe what they want because we are free, and obviously if you believe in these topics, a lot of people can judge you, but it doesn’t matter because some people believe in Sandra Torres or Zury Rios, and I think that people who believe in them are so crazy and dumb that it makes more sense for me to believe in these topics. But as I said, everybody can believe what they want, but please don’t vote for these women.
